Finding themes

There are dozens of websites that offer WordPress themes for you to download and implement on your own website. Many theme developers offer their themes for free, whereas some charge a small fee. Of course, if you cannot find a free theme that fits your needs, you can always hire a theme developer to create a customized theme for you, or you can be your own theme developer (refer to Chapter 7, Developing Your Own Theme).

WordPress Themes Directory

The first place you should always go to while looking for a theme is the official WordPress Themes Directory that is available at http://wordpress.org/extend/themes/. This is where everyone in the WordPress community uploads their free themes and tags them with keywords that describe the basic look, layout, and function of their theme.
