Hybrid deployment

A hybrid deployment is a mixed deployment of both the on-premise and cloud options, and in many ways, it takes some of the best elements from both. For example, through the use of this method, you could gain access to cloud-based services such as machine learning, business intelligence, and development sandboxes, but still have the ability to store your data on your on-premise infrastructure.

This hybrid will allow you to enjoy all of the benefits and services offered by both the cloud and on-premise solutions. However, because it involves two different deployment methods, you may find that it becomes more complex than choosing either cloud or on-premise.

In Figure 8.6, you can see a visualization of how you could split services between the two platforms:
