Overall solution design topics
Even after you’ve mastered the relevant topics for each of the component products in the landscape, you’ll need to understand some overlay topics that are critical for success as a B2C solution architect. Topics such as how to structure a discovery conversation, align stakeholders for a common outcome, guide a development team, product architecture documentation, and provide technical leadership are all equally important to product knowledge.
We covered many of these topics in Chapter 7, Role of a Solution Architect, as well as Chapter 10, Customizing for Common Business Needs. I’d suggest reviewing these topics, especially if the role of a solution architect is new for you.
