Statistics
Moodle has a built-in statistics module, which you can reach via Reports | Statistics. By default, the component is disabled; this has to be changed first (Enable statistics in Advanced features), along with some settings.
Statistics settings
The Statistics module is deactivated by default due to the fact that the component is very resource-hungry both in terms of disk space usage and, more importantly, memory usage.
Note
Use the Statistics module only if you really require the information and can accept some potentially significant performance reduction.
The statistics settings are located in Server | Statistics. The following parameters are available:

After enabling the Statistics module, Moodle utilizes the logs described here to derive statistical information. Here, you need to specify the time Moodle should go back by, to gather the stats. Be aware that this is quite a resource-intensive operation. |
