Mobile platforms and frameworks available today
As of writing this book, there are a lot of different mobile platforms on the market these days, both native and cross-platform, so let’s take a quick look at the differences between them to give you a better understanding of what we need to consider when thinking about Mobile DevOps.

I do not want to make this a detailed explanation of mobile development because this is a book about Mobile DevOps and there are tons of books about mobile development. However, as we mentioned previously, we should be in a position to interpret the requirements of different platforms and then implement the DevOps process accordingly.
As a starting point, let’s take a look at native apps such as iOS and Android.
