PowerPivot


Microsoft PowerPivot is an add in for Microsoft Office Excel 2010 and provides you with the power to create your self-service business intelligence Solution. It has a similar look and feel compared to Excel and because of which it is very easy to use and familiar if you are an experienced Excel user, which most of us are. PowerPivot is designed to be able to manage and analyse large sets of data. The data can come from many different types of sources, even the cloud. It also contains some easy to use data-sharing features, enabling you to share your results via SharePoint and the browser with your colleagues. PowerPivot contains built-in algorithms that can detect relationships. The IT department gets a central management dashboard they can use to monitor PowerPivot usage, ensure security, availability, and performance.
