A simple Google search will tell you that there are too many different definitions of threat intelligence, so to make things easier, let's define it as gathering, analyzing, and understanding threats, threat actors, and the associated behaviors of the attacks.

Simply put, threat intelligence is about creating knowledge (intelligence) based on correlated data.

Several solutions are available, most of which are offered as a service, in which a third-party vendor provides you with access to that knowledge for a monthly fee.
