Training interviewers
Selecting which of your engineers will interview a candidate is an important task. You want to choose team members who are not too senior or junior in experience to the interview candidate, as they will be better prepared to evaluate that candidate's skill level in relation to their own. Interviewers who communicate well, are able put candidates at ease, and can answer questions easily should be on your shortlist as well. Remember that you want to put the best face of your company forward, and that the employees who meet a candidate will be ambassadors for your company.
You should always be expanding your pool of potential interviewers to make scheduling easier. Having less experienced interviewers shadow your more seasoned employees for a few interviews will be immensely helpful in getting them up to speed.
Always make sure that your interviewers know the schedule for the day and have the candidate's resume well in advance—make sure you send timely reminders to interviewers...
