In the previous chapter, we discussed the external and internal context of our incumbent bank. In this section, we will deep dive into the third contextual layer, which is the state-of-art DevOps context, by providing an average representative snapshot of how the DevOps context of an incumbent bank looks. We will focus on contextual elements and capabilities that we consider the most important.
Important Note
To avoid misunderstandings, it is important to clarify that with the term “state-of-art” in our book, we refer to it as the level of development reached at a particular time, within a certain organization, as a result of the DevOps methodologies and practices employed.
