VxRail cluster configuration
In this section, we will discuss an overview of VxRail system virtual machines, vDS and port groups, VxRail disk groups, and vSAN storage policies.
VxRail system virtual machines
When you log in to a VxRail cluster with vSphere Web Client for the first time, you can see some VxRail system virtual machines. In the VxRail initialization, we can choose the option for deploying VMware vCenter Server. You can check out Chapter 2, VxRail Installation, for more details. When the VxRail deployment is completed, you can see that some VxRail system virtual machines are ready in the VxRail cluster. In Figure 3.16, if you choose VxRail deployments with the embedded vCenter Server, you can see four virtual machines, consisting of the following:
- VMware vCenter Server Appliance
- VMware vCenter Server Platform Services Controller
- VMware vRealize Log Insight
- VxRail Manager
If you choose VxRail deployments with the external vCenter Server...
