Introducing information architecture
Information architecture is a highly complex concept, and it could easily fill up an entire book on its own. Our aim in this section is to raise awareness about the information architecture concept and to make you think about some basic questions on this subject. If we achieve this goal, we can proceed much more consciously in the following chapters of the book.
Defining the requirements of your knowledge management system
To predetermine the system’s features, we want to install and return to them frequently, as this will help us a lot in keeping our focus. The most important requirements are as follows:

- We should be able to find the information we are looking for easily
- We should be able to quickly reach other concepts related to an idea
- We should be able to view the outline of the information architecture easily
