App Controller's role-based security model
As this book's primary focus is on Hyper-V security, we're not going to spend much time actually discussing the use of App Controller in connecting to VMs, installing services, and so on. Those who are curious will find that App Controller really looks and feels like System Center VMM itself, so the actual use of App Controller you'll find is very intuitive; however, let's move on to some more security-focused talk.
Now that we're connected to our target clouds and are managing our environment through App Controller, let's take a moment and talk about App Controller's role-based security model.
If you remember, earlier in the chapter, we had to define a VMM server for App Controller to tie in to. App Controller has a number of inherent benefits with regard to security because of this, such as the following:
App Controller uses the underlying security model and user roles that are defined inside the target VMM instance.
