The role of big data in UX design
We explained big data and the importance of UX in it, but let's look at a better example of the role that UX plays in big data. As an example, let's explore how data for the same product is displayed across different platforms, such as desktops devices, tablet devices (iPad, Kindle), and mobile devices (iPhone, Android).
Bigger devices will always show more data, where users can easily navigate through it thanks to larger screen sizes. When it comes to small devices, we will only display the most important data.
Since we used the Amazon website as example in the previous section, in the following screenshot you can see the differences in how data is presented on Amazon, depending on whether users are using a desktop or mobile application:
