Tips for getting started
Arun Gupta: One of the most important things to do is build your online profile. I don't necessarily mean your Facebook profile: that's for your family and friends, but I really want to see that you have a good GitHub profile. That tells me what languages you're proficient in, so I can look at your coding style, what areas you're comfortable with, how long you've been contributing, and much more.
The second thing that I want to see is writing and speaking skills. There are tons of blogging platforms available, such as WordPress, Medium, and GitHub pages. Pick a platform and start writing about what you care about.
You may think that nobody else cares about it but I bet you'll be surprised. In this YouTube-centric world, start creating a video series explaining topics that matter to you. If you want to take it up a notch, start a podcast, have discussions around tech, and bring communities together.
