Conventions used
There are a number of text conventions used throughout this book.
Code in text
: Indicates code words in text, database table names, folder names, filenames, file extensions, pathnames, dummy URLs, user input, and Twitter handles. Here is an example: “Using the fetch_kaggle_comp_data()
, fetch_df()
, and draw_batch()
wrapper functions.”
A block of code is set as follows:
pluto.remember_kaggle_access_keys("your_username_here", "your_key_here")
When we wish to draw your attention to a particular part of a code block, the relevant lines or items are set in bold:
# Instantiate Pluto pluto = PackTDataAug("Pluto")
Any command-line input or output is written as follows:
!git clone https://github.com/duchaba/Data-Augmentation-with-Python
Bold: Indicates a new term, an important word, or words that you see onscreen. For instance, words in menus or dialog boxes appear in bold. Here is an example: “Next, go to the Account page, scroll down to the API section, and click on the Create New API Token button to generate the Kaggle key.”
