Creating a PWS account


Creating a PWS account is a straightforward process. And, once you have access to PWS, you will be able to explore a large ecosystem of third-party services, such as databases, messaging, and metrics, which application developers can leverage when building their applications. With PWS, you can deploy, update, and scale your applications just as you would on any Cloud Foundry PaaS.

What you get when you register for PWS

When you register for a PWS account, a Cloud Foundry user account is created for you that gives you a Cloud Foundry Org and Space. All Cloud Foundry foundations will give you the same thing once your user account is created. We will go into detail about orgs and spaces in Chapter 4, Users, Orgs, Spaces, and Roles. For now, just think of orgs and spaces as simple organizing systems with the org at the top level, under which you will have several spaces, which are roughly equivalent to a deployment environment like a sandbox, development, QA, staging, prod...
