Introduction
Articulate can only work with videos that are compatible with Flash. Therefore, all other videos need to be converted to Flash before they can be used in Presenter, Quizmaker, or Engage. To facilitate this, the suite comes with a Video Encoder. This will convert standard video formats into the .flv
format for using them with your Articulate presentations.
Clicking on the Articulate Video Encoder icon on your desktop or in your Windows Start menu will open up the Video Encoder startup screen. On this screen, you can select whether you open an existing video that is on your computer or record a video with your webcam. If you have recently used Video Encoder to work on other videos, they will show up on this screen as well, allowing you to select them.
As with most video editing software, Video Encoder doesn't edit the video as you are making changes. Rather, it saves a series of instructions. Then, when you click on the Publish button, it does the actual edit, "rendering" the new...
