Summary
In this chapter, we went through the process of creating a realistic water shader and applying it to our river. We learned howto mix between the Glass BSDF and Transparency BSDF nodes to create a nice reflective and refractive surface. Then, we added a subtle wave effect on the surface of the water using Noise Texture. Finally, we learned how to animate the waves on the surface by inserting keyframes into the Timeline editor.
In the next chapter, we’ll improve the texture of our landscape by using two textures: mud and grass. We will learn how to use Texture Paint to brush nice-looking mud and grass onto our landscape.
