Summary
In this chapter, we went through the process of creating realistic rock assets using the Rock Generator built-in Blender add-on. We learned how to generate and adjust the shape of rocks with one click.
Then, we learned how to unwrap and texture the rock using the Node Wrangler add-on. And finally, we optimized the rock’s geometry, saving 75% of the rock geometry without sacrificing too much rock quality.
In the next chapter, we’ll be creating a new natural asset, which is flowers. Both rocks and flowers will be used to populate our landscape scene, making it look natural and realistic.
