Chapter 9. A Final Note

When you are developing and preparing to deliver a software class, it’s tempting to focus only on how to use the software. Remember that software doesn’t get used in a vacuum. It gets used in business situations to solve real business problems. Learning about your students’ situation and how they can use the software to address their business needs is the difference between a good class and a great class. This extra effort also makes the difference between just conveying information to your students, and really connecting with them. And at the end of a hard day in the classroom, you can ask for nothing better than to have connected with your students, and made their lives easier and more productive.
