Guides, rulers, grids, and snapping
As you gradually unlock your creativity with each chapter, you will begin to build confidence and an eye for using the digital tools in Photopea. You will also gain an eye for making sure things are aligned correctly and well balanced throughout the composition.
Using guides and rulers and snapping images into place are all key to creating successful designs and printed projects, and taking the professional quality of your work to the next level.
Ruler
The ruler tool acts as a digital tape measure that can find and align precise calculations between objects, lines, and shapes. It can also help you straighten out an image, measure angles, and add a professional quality to your images and designs. To access the ruler guide, go to View and find Ruler about halfway down the menu. See Figure 2.16:
