A Spreadsheet that Cannot be Mapped
Given what we know about the different formats of spreadsheets, is it possible to create a spreadsheet that cannot be mapped and understood by spreadsheet disambiguation technology?
The answer is absolutely yes. It is certainly possible to create a spreadsheet that does not conform to the “standard” spreadsheet format and does not correspond to the simple list format.
This type of spreadsheet cannot be used for the purpose of automatically transforming data into a corporate database. Of course, it is always possible to manually transcribe a spreadsheet, however tedious and onerous a task that might be.
