Summary

Looking back at the challenges and activities covered throughout this chapter, there are a few key things that we should recap before moving on to the next one.

First, we learned that it is important to consider all aspects of the production process throughout the design phases, and not only toward the end when we are getting ready to manufacture our models. As you design a model, even a novelty item such as a trophy, consider the size of your printer, the resolution and quality it can achieve, and the materials and resources you have available. There is never one way to do any project; choose constraints and specifications that cater to your individualized needs.

As we design models such as the trophy created throughout this chapter, consider that some dimensions may not be critical, as was the case in this chapter. Instead, have fun with Tinkercad’s design features to make aesthetic features that look and perform well without being too concerned about minor details...
