Creating a new blog post

Hooray! Now that you’ve added a blog page to your site, your next task will be to create your first blog post. Navigate to your blog page and select the + button on the panel containing sample posts. Once you click this button, you’ll see a blank blog post on the right-hand side of your screen.

Blog posts contain a few different elements:

• Date: The date the post was published
• Author: The name of the person who created the post
• Post Title: The title of your blog post
• Content: Text, images, and other blocks that comprise your blog post

This page is where you’ll add your title and content. Like any other standard page on Squarespace, you will have access to the block menu to add images, quotes, galleries, buttons, and more.
