Summary and planning document
In this chapter, we’ve explored aspects of a SharePoint Online deployment that focuses less on technical configuration and development and more on the other factors that lead to successful adoption. Managing the change purposefully and making sure that people understand the value and usage of our tools is a great return on our investment.
Here are some questions to ask as we add adoption and change management to our planning document:
- Does the organization have personnel trained in change management?
- What opportunities exist to train the organization on the adoption of best practices and the ADKAR model?
- Is there a defined set of technical change champions? If not, can a message be crafted and sent from management to recruit them?
- Are the pain points and business values clearly defined for the SharePoint Online solution we are planning?
- Does the organization have internal training resources?
