Point-to-point integration impacts

When integrating two systems point-to-point, the connection is necessarily one-to-one. In a larger enterprise, however, you may be making multiple connections between instances in this fashion.

Continuing to build on the Packt Enterprises example, we’ll have two different Lightning Platform orgs connected to a single Marketing Cloud Engagement instance. We’ll also have two different B2C Commerce realms connected to a single Lightning Platform org and Marketing Cloud Engagement instance. This overall view was shown in Figure 11.7 in the previous section.

In the following sections, we’ll examine the implications of this configuration for Marketing Cloud Engagement, B2C CRM Sync, and the Commerce and Marketing Connector.
