Summary

In this chapter, you have learned how a microservice architecture recommends building a system as a collection of small and isolated services, where each service owns its own data and can be independently scaled to provide resilience to failure. These services interact with each other to form a cohesive system. This chapter was a quick introduction to Lagom, which is the new framework for developing reactive microservices on the JVM.
