The APEX IDE home page

The following is a screenshot of the APEX IDE home page:

This home page allows us access to the three major modules available to Workspace administrators and Developers The Application Builder, the SQL Workshop, and Utilities.

Note

The APEX Administration Services module requires a separate login. As we will explain in the APEX installation appendix, we can use a direct URL to its login page, or we can use the regular APEX IDE login page with the built-in workspace holding these services called "internal".

We can access each of the modules by either clicking on the module icon or the module tab in the upper right-hand corner of the page. This tab layout will repeat itself throughout all the APEX IDE pages, allowing us quick access to all its modules, wherever we are.

The home page can include a system message, defined by the APEX admin, which can be different from the login message.

We can also see the "assistance column", on the right-hand side of the page. It includes...
