Converting an Existing Report Region

As we have seen, Interactive Report Regions provide many great features that can be used in our applications. You may start to wonder, can Classic Report Regions be converted into Interactive Report Regions in APEX? Luckily for us, APEX provides an easy way to migrate our Classic Report Regions to Interactive Report Regions. The migration feature is accessed from the Region Definition property page of a Classic Report Region. In the following screenshot, a task menu is displayed on the right-hand side of the screen with a Migrate to Interactive Report link, clicking the link will start the migration:

When a Classic Report Region is migrated to an Interactive Report Region, the SQL query source for the report may need to be altered.
