Oracle 11g RAC suitability
Oracle EBS places additional demands for resources and performance in terms of application server and database requirements. As we discussed earlier, Oracle RAC provides benefits for scalability and availability. With ever larger demands for resources, RAC can expand the capabilities by adding additional nodes to the Oracle EBS architecture, thus allowing larger numbers of users to use the system. As a result, greater computing power is available on demand when needed.
Oracle RAC provides that robust scale out, or horizontal functionality, by adding new nodes to Oracle EBS. By expanding the cluster for EBS and RAC, you will also be able to support larger numbers of concurrent users. In addition, new instances introduced into the RAC system for EBS will also free up additional memory buffers, along with more CPUs, and permit many new user connections without affecting the performance of the other instances.
