Time for action – installation and use of the Enhanced User Admin block


Installing the Enhanced User Admin block is a process very similar to the installation of other packages, such as themes and modules, that has been previously explained in this book. To install the block follow these steps:

  1. Download the block from Moodle.org from the Modules and Plugins page, as shown in the following screenshot. Note that there is one other user administration block available from Moodle.org titled simply User Administration. Use the Enhanced User Administration (block) to obtain the functionality that will be presented here.

  2. Download the block package by first clicking on the Name link and then on the Download latest version link found in the bottom-right corner of the explanation window, as shown in the following screenshot:

  3. Unzip the package that was downloaded to your computer.

  4. If the name of the unzipped directory is useradmin19, change it to simply useradmin.

  5. Copy the useradmin folder to the blocks...
