Some students enjoy learning grammar in a controlled environment where grammar is set out methodically and they receive useful feedback on their attempts to use it. The Quiz module is well suited to this. There is a range of question types which can be used to practice or test grammar, such as multiple choice, true/false, gap-fill. See Chapter 9, Assessment for a full discussion of question types.

Quiz is flexible. If we change the settings in quiz to allow multiple attempts, students can keep practicing and improving. We can also enhance their learning more by providing informative feedback. All students' marks appear in the Moodle gradebook, which allows both students and teachers to get a good overview of students' progress.
