Deploying endpoint protection agents
Once your policies have been set up and you have configured the automatic deployment of definition updates, the next step is to deploy the endpoint protection agent. The agent can be deployed in numerous ways. In this section, we will look at deploying the agent by configuring the settings in client policies and also deploying the agent in task sequences during operating system deployment.
Deploying agents using client settings policies
If you are enabling a global deployment of endpoint protection, then the following changes can be made to the default policy or your own default policy, if you have one. If you only plan to deploy endpoint protection to a subset of machines for testing for example, then create a new policy that only configures those settings we will configure and deploy that policy to your test collection.
