Creating a field

To create a new field relationship, you edit your solution, select the entity, click on the Fields tab, and then click on + Add field, as shown in the following screenshot:

A pane will open on the right-hand side, as shown in the following screenshot:

When creating a field, start by specifying the following properties:

• Display name: The name of the field. 
• Name: This is the internal name used for the field. It will have the publisher's prefix.
• Data type: Choose from the list of data types.
• Required: Whether the field must be entered when a record is created.

Depending on the Data type selected, other properties are displayed; for example, text fields have a maximum length and numeric fields have minimum and maximum values.

To create the field, click on Done.
