Planning for disaster recovery
With an idea of risks in hand and mitigation components in place, you are ready to plan your disaster recovery strategy. Despite its name, disaster recovery is not truly limited to the recovery phase but also includes the response phase in which you are actively reacting to a disaster in progress. Strategies should include multiple tiers as not all disasters will be handled the same way. For instance, you may suffer catastrophic data loss that doesn't require you to perform any physical hardware replacement; so your response will necessarily be different in that case.
