Chapter 8. Updating Objects and Virtualization with Dynamics NAV
Dynamics NAV has long been known as a system with rich out-of-the-box capabilities and high flexibility. Although it offers a rich inherent feature set, it is also one of the most flexible systems available in the market today. Flexibility can be attained by modifying an existing set of objects or adding new objects in NAV. Objects in NAV comprise tables, reports, code units, forms, pages, and dataports and XML ports. This chapter speaks about the procedures for changing and updating these objects.
The second part of the chapter discusses some common batch jobs, their setups and procedures.
