Retired templates and template migrations

From time to time, Salesforce will retire templates in Experience Cloud. That does not mean that you have to immediately migrate your template. They will still support the template for a period of time after retirement. However, you will eventually have to migrate.

Let’s go through which templates are actively in the retirement phase, and then we’ll talk you through the considerations you should take when looking at a migration project.

Retired templates

The two most recently retired templates are Koa and Kokua. Even though they are no longer in use, you might have inherited one and need to know what their original intended use case was. Understanding the prior use case will help you identify the appropriate replacement stack, but here’s a quick primer on the difference between the two and their use cases:
