At our example company, Delivery International, our merciless head of product, Kinley, has tasked us with setting up a partner portal for our franchisees, and her goal is to make it easier for them to sell pizza on our behalf and engage with us. But Dalbert, our head of marketing, has set a requirement for an e-commerce portal for franchisee’s clients, so they can order pizza directly from the franchisees, see their order history, log cases if there are issues with their deliveries, review commonly asked questions, and be placed into marketing automation journeys. Of course, Maggie in finance wants to make sure that the money resulting from these sales is making it into our accounting systems, and Anna in quality wants the experience to be safe and flawless for all of our users and our internal systems.
