Summary
This chapter was all about phone numbers in Microsoft Teams. We began by choosing a PSTN solution for our telephony needs.
Then, we ordered and managed our phone numbers and service numbers. We learned that users need their own Calling Plan license or Communication Credits licenses assigned, and that we can create audio conferencing, auto attendant, or call queue service numbers.
Then, we configured emergency addresses to associate with our user phone numbers, so that when our users call from our environment, that address information can be made available to responders.
After that, we covered the management of user phone numbers and configured voice settings for users such as voicemail configuration and dial plans to help us transform abbreviated entries, such as extensions, into full phone numbers.
Lastly, we learned about emergency calling policies and call routing policies.
