Summary
In this chapter, we learned how to create a tealight and a ghost with surfacing tools. We learned how to trim parts of surfaces by using other surfaces as trim bodies, and we learned how to stitch surfaces back together to form a new surface body. We then thickened the ghost, turning it into a solid model, and then added some textures to the ghost’s body and tealight. Finally, we added a background and rendered the scene. Surfaces are a great way to create organic shapes with curvature, and unlike the Form environment, these surfaces can be parametric.
In the next chapter, we will use form modeling and solid modeling to create a cushioned chair.
