Performing the final checks

As we mentioned previously, this is our final chance to look over our sites, content, migrations, server configurations, and any forgotten steps or services. Please make sure you look over your server resources. There are many things to account for from a server perspective, as well as a SQL and SharePoint perspective, that need to line up to give us a well-balanced baseline that supports our environment. 

Server resources and configuration

Server performance is one of the biggest hidden issues I have seen in the field. It is not obvious all the time because not many admins really dig deep to see how a server is performing, nor are they even aware that the system is having issues based on a SQL Server and SharePoint-related service. As admins, we need to be aware of those areas where the server can be in bad shape and do something about it.
