In the early days of Salesforce CRM, when the platform was a simple automation web automated for sales, services, marketing, and even some custom applications, it was easy to know all the features in some depth and also keep pace with all the updates delivered three times a year on the platform.
Today it is quite different because the platform has evolved so much that it makes sense to focus on specific fields (development, administration, field service, marketing, and analytics), as the number of features and frequent new additions to the platform makes staying updated a separate job.
