Why is the adoption of Microsoft 365 poor?
The short answer: Because nobody is responsible for effective adoption.
Effective adoption means a person must use the right tool (app or feature) in the right place (business context or need).
The definition is simple. But we have thousands of features and business needs. There are too many combinations.
As I said earlier, nobody is responsible for adoption. The Information Technology (IT) team is responsible for procuring, deploying, maintaining, and supporting the Microsoft 365 platform. HR will arrange some training during the launch of specific apps. Generally, most of the training covers one product at a time and is not mandatory.
Therefore, at the end of all training, we have a small subset of users who know about a subset of apps. If most users do not even know about what apps they have and what these apps do, how will they use the apps?
