Platform Ways of Working
Platform ways of working means that people and teams at all levels in the organization use their skills, knowledge, and resources efficiently to create value for the entire platform ecosystem irrespective of their roles or designations. I like to classify the ways of working framework into three elements: culture, skills and knowledge development, and roles and responsibilities. These elements may not be effective individually, but they can create high-functioning and self-reliant teams that can independently deliver value while working toward a common goal when combined.
Culture
As we saw that a robust and successful operating model requires a value-driven agile culture, and teams that continuously deliver value for their customers. But the customers are different for different teams operating in the platform model. Customers for the experience teams are the end users of the platforms, such as producers, consumers, and intermediaries.
