There are many reasons I cannot recommend this book, but I will admit there is more than $50.00 worth of info inside. While there are always coding errors in the books I have purchased, for the most part the code on github has been clean. It is not the case with this this book. The href links in the 1st four chapters all contain double quotes within double quotes. This tells me they didn't even bother to see if the code worked before uploading it. Really poor attention to detail. The first project has you working out of the admin interface, not a best practice, and typing in addresses to move around instead of having links in the base html they supply. Honestly, the first book I read on django had a base template that consisted of 5-lines two of which were links and they taught you how the admin interface is for development not daily use. I know href links are not a big deal, but that's my point; why supply some window dressing and not the glue that puts everything together.
