Section 3: Application and Environment Life Cycle Management

While building apps for production use, it is important to leverage the life cycle management practices required for creation, migration, maintenance, decommissioning, and more. Power Apps, Power Virtual Agents bots, and Power Automate flows can be packaged as a single deployable unit, or solution. Besides the versions of the applications, the data and other metadata that is stored in the environment (along with Dataverse) might need to be migrated from time to time, especially when dev/test environments have to be separated from the production version/environment. Similarly, these environments also need provisioning, backup, restore, and decommissioning, which is all supported by Dataverse for Teams. This section also covers scenarios where an upgrade from Dataverse for Teams to Dataverse would be needed and provides step-by-step instructions for this upgrade.
