Summary

In this chapter, you have learned about the role and importance of API-centric architectures for enterprise integration scenarios. You have also studied how enterprises can benefit from implementing iPaaS platforms on Azure that will enable them to modernize their EAI flows and connect the legacy workloads with a larger ecosystem of applications, including SaaS and cloud-native applications.

By now, you must be familiar with using Azure APIM as the single entry point for all your API-based integration workflows. You should also be able to design and implement mission-critical and highly reliable integrations using various Azure resources such as Logic Apps, Service Bus, and Event Grid. The flows can be implemented as data processing pipelines.

In the next chapter, we will extend the concepts presented so far and explore strategies to monetize your API solutions.
