The role of HR management in cybersecurity issues

It is the primary role of a CISO to ensure an organization maintains a good security posture. The users of a system—in this case, the employees of the organization—pose a huge security threat to the organization. A CISO needs to protect the system and the organization both from external threats and from internal security compromises. The HR department aids the CISO in this case by enabling the CISO to play an important role during recruitment and in the management of the employees. The CISO ensures that background checks are done for all employees, especially ones being recruited into the organization, and for employees that have access to sensitive data. Access to sensitive data in an organization makes the user a potential security threat, and it's the CISO's responsibility to ensure that individuals posing a potential threat pass verification tests and have enough training to appreciate the security policies...
