Creating concept art of your environment
Now, in theory, you should create the environment before the props because the props refine the concept of the environment you've created, but it was much easier to show you the basic techniques by looking at the props first.
Environment concepts work more in the mood department of the design: they are for conceptualizing the different moods and subtleties of a room, a city, or a forest. What you need to sell is that the environment fits the production—nothing more, nothing less.
