Restricted and Work Area Security
When it comes to protecting the server rooms, data centers, media storage facilities, and evidence storage, physical security is not enough. Additional layers of defense, both technical and administrative, must be enacted to mitigate threats against an organization’s valuable personally identifiable information or personal health records. Mitigating external threats is important, but so too is the consideration of internal threats and deployment of additional controls in areas such as evidence storage, media storage, and data centers.

In all secure areas, make sure to store important assets in controls that can provide a high level of protection and security. For example, secure locking cabinets and safes can mitigate internal and external attacks. Acquire safes and secure cabinets that feature two-factor authentication to enhance security.
